The Milwaukee Brewers put on a show this weekend, making critics go silent about the team not acquiring a power bat at the trade deadline. Altogether, they scored 38 runs over three games, collected a franchise record 56 hits over that span, and managed to repeat rare history by going undefeated against the Washington Nationals this season.
Milwaukee Brewers repeat rare feat in Washington Nationals sweep

With a sweep of the Nationals this weekend, the Brewers managed to sweep the season series against Washington, going 6-0. This marks the sixth time in franchise history, and the first time ever against the Nationals, that they have swept a season series (minimum six games) against a team.
It also is the second time this year that the same feat has been accomplished. The other team Milwaukee swept earlier this year is the Los Angeles Dodgers, also going 6-0. With the organization having been around for over 50 years, it’s incredible to see a rare piece of history being accomplished twice within a short period of time.
A chance at more history?

In early September, the Brewers will have the opportunity to accomplish a 6-0 sweep against a third team this season. Currently, Milwaukee is 3-0 against the Philadelphia Phillies, and they play their final three games September 1, 3, and 4th at American Family Field.
