The Milwaukee Brewers have had a busy offseason as the try to rebuild and replenish their roster following their second consecutive National League Central Division title. Unfortunately, two of the biggest stars on the team last year, Devin Williams and Willy Adames, will be playing elsewhere next season. Williams was traded to the New York Yankees for Nestor Cortes and Caleb Durbin, and Adames signed a seven-year $182 million contract with the San Francisco Giants.
But while those are the biggest names that departed from the Brewers, other key contributors did as well. Most notably, multiple starting pitchers and relievers will be playing elsewhere. As such, Milwaukee has had to acquire more arm talent via trade and free agency.
On Thursday night, they announced the latest addition to their roster.
The Milwaukee Brewers Acquired Grant Anderson in a Trade with the Texas Rangers
On Thursday night, the Brewers announced that they had acquired right-handed sidearm pitcher Grant Anderson from the Texas Rangers in exchange for 2024 seventh-round pick Mason Molina, a left-handed pitcher.

In order to make room for Anderson on the 40-man roster, left-handed pitcher Tyler Jay was designated for assignment. Jay was originally acquired by the Brewers in a trade with the New York Mets in July of last year.
Anderson, who had recently been designated for assignment by Texas, exceeded his rookie status last year. In 49 career games, he is 2-2 with a 6.35 ERA and 1.53 WHIP.
Last season, he was 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 23 games. However, he struck out 29 batters in 26.2 innings of work.
In 26 games at Triple-A last year, though, Anderson was 3-0 with a 2.93 ERA and 1.30 WHIP.
