It just keeps on getting better and better for the seemingly unstoppable Milwaukee Brewers.
They stretched their win streak to 11 games on Tuesday evening, as they absolutely eviscerated the Pittsburgh Pirates at American Family Field, via a score of 14-0. Not even All-Star Paul Skenes of the Bucs could tame the Brewers, who unleashed on the former LSU Tigers star pitcher. Skenes lasted just four innings on the mound, allowing four earned runs on six hits, while issuing two walks and collecting four strikeouts.
Even after Skenes left the hill, the offense kept pouring in for the Brewers, with Andrew Vaughn joining the party. In the sixth inning, Vaughn dug the Pirates a deeper hole by launching a three-run home run to stretch Milwaukee’s lead to 12 runs.

Vaughn gets props from Wisconsin basketball legend in Milwaukee Brewers’ 11th win in a row

A video of that home run was shared on social media by the Brewers, and it was reposted by former Wisconsin Badgers basketball star Sam Dekker along with the caption “stoic king.”

That perfectly fits the demeanor of Vaughn after that home run. His unperturbed look even after hitting such a monster shot betrayed the actual pandemonium that was happening inside the park, with over 32,000 fans celebrating his home run.
Acquired by the Brewers in a swap with the Chicago White Sox before the trade deadline in exchange for pitcher Aaron Civale, Vaughn has proven to be an excellent pickup for Milwaukee. Since the MLB All-Star break, Vaughn has hit .333/.398/.580 with six home runs and 22 RBIs – both the most on the team over that span.
