Vibes around the Milwaukee Brewers are high right now. They have the most wins in baseball with 64 and after defeating the Chicago Cubs 9-3 they now have a two game lead in the National League Central. Here, we take a look at three numbers to know from their latest victory.
Three numbers to know from the Milwaukee Brewers latest 9-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs
1) The Brewers have won the last 11 games that Quinn Priester has pitched in

Since being acquired from the Boston Red Sox, Quinn Priester has covered bulk innings for the Brewers. Most of the time he has been on the mound to begin games, but not infrequently an opener has been used before him. If we go back to his last 11 appearances, which was a May 30 game against the San Francisco Giants where he pitched the fourth through ninth innings, Milwaukee has won each contest.
2) Andrew Vaughn has more RBI’s as a Brewer than he did with the Chicago White Sox

Another early season acquisition was first baseman Andrew Vaughn, who was the player Milwaukee received when Aaron Civale demanded a trade. Vaughn had been a key member of the White Sox beforehand, but struggled out of the gate in 2025. In 48 games with the South Siders, he had just 19 RBI’s. With Milwaukee, he has 21 RBI’s through 15 games, that included a career best six RBI night Tuesday against the Cubs and grand slam.

3) The Milwaukee Brewers have scored eight or more runs in each of their last three contests against the Chicago Cubs

This year, the Cubs have a high octane offense, which has a great combination of contact, power, and speed. Milwaukee lacks in the power department, but still has managed to be a top 10 scoring offense. Over the team’s last three contests, the Brewers offense has been stepping up as they have defeated the Cubs by scores of 8-7, 8-4, and 9-3.
The finale between the Brewers and Cubs will be played on Wednesday, July 30. These two teams will meet again in August, for a pivotal series that again could have division and playoff ramifications.
