Milwaukee Brewers’ ability to rise in the postseason is the biggest question they need to answer despite their ongoing remarkable run. Infielder Caleb Durbin are thinks they are having a taste of it right now.
The team went on two double-digit winning streak in the last two months, 14 being the longest one. However, they were stopped on their tracks by the Chicago Cubs last week when they went 2-3 against them. This skid included three straight losses from their division rivals.

It was followed by a series loss with the San Francisco Giants.
Things appeared okay again for them on Monday when they went on a 6-0 run against the Diamondbacks until the fifth inning but then they crumbled after a lengthy inning by Brandon Woodruff. The visitors were able to return to the game and forced a 6-5 score at the bottom of the sixth inning.
They eventually won the game, 7-5.
Some will see it as a problem but for Durbin, it is the kind of game they need as they head into the postseason.
“It’s kind of a little test for us,” Durbin after the game.

“That’s kind of what we anticipate the playoffs being like — obviously we have to get there first. But this kind of last stretch into the postseason, you’re going to have really tough games and you might come up short, but you have to be able to bounce back the next day.”
Aaron Ashby, Nick Mears, and Abner Uribe then connive to shut the Diamondbacks and seal the victory to snap their two-game losing strea.
Caleb Durbin saved the day
Durbin hasn’t been performing well in the past games but it was a different story for him in the last game.
The game became a little tensed when Arizona closed in on them by the sixth inning. It was just a one-run lead and the momentum was on Torey Lovullo’s side.
Durbin hit sent a homer to the left of the field in the eighth inning to give his team a small breathing room with the opponents breathing on their neck. He now has a total of nine runs this season for that game-saving score.

It was also his first ever back-to-back games with at least a run since entering the big league in April.
Brewers and Diamondbacks will meet again on Tuesday for the second of the three-game series.
