Three former Milwaukee Brewers were on the 2025 MLB Hall of Fame ballot. First timers were CC Sabathia and Curtis Granderson whereas Francisco Rodriguez was on for a third year. Of this group, one was elected, one received enough votes to remain eligible for 2026, and another has been dropped from future ballots.
CC Sabathia was elected to the Hall of Fame
2008 second half Brewers hero CC Sabathia has been elected to the Hall of Fame as he received 86.8% of votes. 75% is needed in order to receive the nod to Cooperstown. Sabathia had one of the best stretches ever seen by a starting pitcher when he was with Milwaukee as through 17 starts, he tossed 130.2 innings, seven complete games (three shutouts), and had a 1.65 ERA as he helped the Brew Crew end an extensive playoff drought.
Francisco Rodriguez will remain Hall of Fame eligible for another year
Curtis Granderson has been removed from the Hall of Fame ballot
A Brewer for just a few months in 2018 was Granderson. The three time All-Star and one time silver slugger finished his 16 year MLB career with a 47.2 bWAR and a .249/.337/.465 slash line that includes 344 home runs, 937 RBI, 153 stolen bases, and 1,800 total hits. He received just three votes and did not meet the 5% vote criteria to be eligible for future Hall of Fame ballots.
