The Milwaukee Brewers once again have a very talented farm system. This year, the Single-A Carolina Mudcats have a collection of top prospects on their squad, with teenagers Jesus Made, Luis Pena, Braylon Payne, and Eric Bitonti all on the team.
For the Mudcats, as well as the High-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Double-A Biloxi Shuckers, Opening Day for their seasons was on Friday night. For one of these top Brewers prospects they wasted no time getting off to a good start as they homered in their first at-bat of the season.
Milwaukee Brewers 2024 first round draft pick homers in his first at-bat

With 17 year old Jesus Made on first base, 18 year old Braylon Payne hit a laser beam home run to right field during his first at-bat of the 2025 season. Payne, who was selected 17th overall in last year’s draft despite being one of the youngest players available, did get his feet wet in professional baseball last year, but did not hit a home run in the four games he played in with the Mudcats a season ago.
