Kam Jones of the Marquette Golden Eagles is yet to officially declare for the 2025 NBA draft but scouts and analysts are already invested in his stock.

The star point guard decided to stay with Marquette for his senior and that paid off as he has revolutionized his game by adding more weapons to arsenal.
This development is among the reasons why analysts think he will get picked in the first round.
Jonathan Wasserman of NBA.com and Bleacher Report wrote than Jones will land at 29th and go to the Los Angeles Clippers via a pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Wasserman wrote:
Proven shotmaking and consistently strong finishing have behind Kam Jones’ scoring production and efficiency the past 3 years.Improved playmaking in a lead-guard role has helped him answer previous doubts. Scouts still sound extra curious to see how he measures, as there is some hesitation to buy his 6’5″ listing. Still, it shouldn’t matter much for teams that buy the 5.8 assists per game reflecting true playmaking feel.
Why it is an ideal team for Marquette Golden Eagles star?
Jones playing for the Clippers might just give him a good head start in his professional career.
The team is need of a reliever for James Harden who do most of the work in the point guard position. They already have Ben Simmons but his limited shooting causes problem.
Scoring and playmaking is something Jones can provide from the bench for the team. He is currently averaging 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists on an efficient 48.8 percent overall field goal.

Harden, who just like him is left-handed, can also serve as a mentor for him.
Another reason why Clippers is a good team for him is the fact that head coach Tyronne Lue is the type of coach who trusts his rookies.
Jones is NBA ready and if the Clippers don’t land him, other teams will get lucky.
