Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) grabs his leg after running the ball against the Minnesota Vikings during their football game Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Jordan Love is viewed as one of the NFL’s premier and ascending young quarterbacks, but at least some coaches across the league believe the Green Bay Packers’ signal caller can be vulnerable at times.
“When we faced him last year, I felt like if you could get to him, you could rattle him,” an NFL defensive coach told Mike Sando of The Athletic. “He distributes the ball, and they have big skill (players who are) tough to bring down. That is how he makes his hay. I do not watch him and think, ‘Oh, he is f–king people up.'”
Can Packers’ Jordan Love Bounce Back in 2025?

Love battled through a toe injury suffered in the regular season opener against the Eagles, in Brazil, and is looking to bounce back in 2025.
The Packers should be concerned by a viewpoint inside the league that Love isn’t a driving force of the Packers’ success, especially when his supporting cast has been mired in inconsistency and particularly dropped passes over the past two seasons.
Love completed 63.1 percent of his passes in 2024, his second season as the Packers’ starting quarterback, for 3,389 yards with 25 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in 15 games.

Green Bay invested premium resources in improving the talent around Love during this spring’s NFL Draft, selecting wide receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams. Whether Love is able to maximize them might come down to Green Bay’s vertical passing game becoming more of a focal point even than it has been in the recent past.
“When we played them, I was like, ‘Man, this ball is going downfield — he don’t give a s–t,'” another defensive coach said, via Sando. “You don’t see a lot of quarterbacks play like that these days. It’s almost like they build it into their offense and see the benefits of making you defend the whole field and hitting a couple in exchange for a pick or two.”
Whether Love can cut down on the turnovers and help the Packers take big steps this season remains to be seen, but his performance could determine Green Bay’s ceiling for the next few seasons ahead.
