The Packers have prioritized building a young and ascending collection of skill players around quarterback Jordan Love, and that group looks ready to elevate its game in 2025.
Even after the arrivals of rookie receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft remain two of Love’s favorite targets. According to Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, those connections have the chance to be even more explosive this upcoming season.
“What’s cool is they are both fully capable of doing a lot of cool stuff,” LaFleur told ESPN NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler. “It definitely gives you a lot more flexibility on offense, the athleticism you’re looking for in both the run and the pass game. It makes you a lot more unpredictable.”
Musgrave has battled through an injury-plagued start to his career, while Kraft has the potential to break through and become one of the premier tight ends across the NFL if his trajectory continues into this season.
Last fall, Kraft and Musgrave combined for seven receptions for 45 yards and XX touchdowns, with Musgrave accounting for just seven of those catches.
According to Fowler, that may be about to change, in a big way.
“One clear observation,” Fowler writes for ESPN. “Love is very comfortable throwing to his tight ends, Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave, who were featured prominently during this particular session. Part of that was by design, as at least two receivers were on rest days when I visited.”
If the Packers’ offense continues to funnel through its tight ends, and Musgrave can stay healthy on the field and make big strides, this has the potential to be one of the more multifaceted passing attacks in the league, offering big upside for Love and Green Bay in 2025.
