The journey may be long, but at least Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed is on his way back to full health. Reed went under the knife to address his shoulder and foot injuries. It will take time for Reed to heal up from those procedures, as he is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action.

Nevertheless, it’s positive news for him and Green Bay that his surgeries were successful.

The decision to have surgeries was made following the Packers’ Week 2 27-18 win at Lambeau Field against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. Reed fractured his foot in training camp but fought through it in the early goings of the 2025 NFL season. His shoulder fracture, meanwhile, happened in the first quarter of the Commanders game.

On Tuesday, Reed went to social media to share a message after his surgeries.

“Successful foot & clavicle surgery thank you God 🙏🏾,” the 25-year-old Reed wrote in a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

Reed’s post sparked a flood of heartwarming comments from Packers and football fans online.

“good to get them both done at the same time, smart move”

“Godspeed Brother. Hope they put some of that bionic hardware in there. 🤣🤣”

“rest up for the playoffs bro we gonna need you 🙏”

“Prayers for a speedy recovery and to play in the Super Bowl!”

“Heal up bro. We are excited for your comback!”

“Beyond football, I’m happy for you and your family. You’re a very talented young man and seem like a kind person. I hope you get the opportunity to make great use of all the blessings you have been given and life and are put in an amazing person to help secure your family’s future.”

Hopefully for Green Bay, the team will be able to weather Reed’s absence. The Packers, who are also missing Christian Watson, will look to keep their Jordan Love-led passing attack going with the likes of Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath roaming downfield.
