The Philadelphia Eagles will be hosting the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Round on Sunday, January 12, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CT on FOX. Philadelphia finished the regular season with a 14-3 record and Green Bay had an 11-6 record.
Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts has not played since 12/22 against the Washington Commanders and has been in concussion protocol ever since. On Monday, head coach Nick Sirianni mentioned that there was no new update with the star quarterback.
ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky Provides Concerning Update For Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts Ahead Of Green Bay Packers Matchup
On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky went onto the Pat McAfee and talked about the injury update to Hurts. Orlovsky said:
“I would be pretty concerned as of right now about Jalen Hurts.. This is a long time to go without practicing for a Quarterback.. I’m really interested to see what happens in the next 48 hours.”
It is going to be interesting to see what the injury report says for the Eagles on Wednesday. Hurts is going to be the biggest story on that injury report for both teams. This season, he completed 68.7% of his passes for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Hurts also rushed for 630 yards on 150 carries and 14 touchdowns, along with averaging 4.2 yards per carry.

If Hurts were to miss the game on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, either Tanner McKee or Kenny Pickett would be the starting quarterback for the Eagles. McKee started over Pickett against the New York Giants in Week 18 of the 2024 NFL regular season.
