Can the Wisconsin Badgers turn things around this season? There’s no definite answer to that but for their former safety Hunter Wohler, there’s a lot to look forward to.

Wohler is one of three former Badgers entering the NFL draft and he believes his experience in college shaped him in a way that makes him ready for pro.
This includes being mentored by different coaches and position coaches. He said it is a challenge but it at least gave him different perspectives.
“You’re forced to learn a new playbook. You’re forced to be thrown in these new positions that maybe you haven’t played before,” he said in an interview with Badgers Notes after the NFL combine.

He is projected to get picked in the fifth or sixth round.
“Having three different coaches, I’m able to see the game at a different light. You kind of build up a bunch of resources and different angles to see the game and improve as you move forward.”
Wisconsin Badgers will be great again in a few years
Wohler’s end to his college career was not ideal. The Badgers finished the 2024 season without a Bowl Game appearance, the first time it happened to the program since 2001.
Things will get better soon according to Wohler.
He is especially optimistic the plans made by head coach Luke Fickell. This is the second time he declared his trust for the embattled coach.

“Coach Fick is a great coach. I have 100% faith that he’s going to get that program in the right place. They have the pieces in place to put together a really good program and put something together that will be special.
“I trust that in the next few years, they’ll be right there competing for Big Ten championships, and making their way in the playoff and making us alumni proud.”
