The Green Bay Packers will be without wide receiver Christian Watson for the 2025 NFL playoffs because he tore his ACL during the 24-22 loss on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. There is also a chance that Watson could miss all of the 2025 NFL season due to his injury.
During the regular season, he caught 29 passes for 620 yards receiving and two touchdowns, averaging 21.4 yards per catch. Watson was also targeted 53 times.
ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky Thinks That Green Bay Packers Not Having Wide Receiver Christian Watson Will Be An Issue Against the Philadelphia Eagles
During NFL Live on ESPN, analyst Dan Orlovsky discussed the upcoming wild-card round matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles. One of the biggest topics about that matchup is how Watson being out affects the Packers.
Orlovsky believes that Watson being injured will affect them big time. Dan Orlovsky thinks that they don’t:
“Have enough vertical speed to really push the ball down the field.”
Watson is one of their vertical threats, but Jayden Reed is also a vertical threat for them. Reed this season had 55 receptions and six touchdowns, along with averaging 15.6 yards per reception. Reed was also targeted 75 times. Romeo Doubs is more of a possession wide receiver and Dontayvion Wicks has not played well this season.

Christian Watson has had two brutal injury riddled years. I hope he can get back on the field soon and ball out. He can very easily be the Packers WR 1.

I think still it’s gonna be a close game

The Packers suck, straight up!

More about Jordan Love imo. He has to play damn near a perfect game. they have to be able to run the ball effectively. I don’t think a dude with 29 catches and 600 yards is the biggest factor.

He would be correct. They will have to find other ways to win.

Jordan Love will need to play better for the Green Bay Packers to beat the Philadelphia Eagles. Not having Watson will hurt them. However, Green Bay needs to get Josh Jacobs and Tucker Kraft involved early and often.
