Wisconsin Badgers women’s basketball recorded an uplifting win over the Michigan Wolverines to go above .500 but their issue won’t die yet.
The latest chapter in the alleged abuse by head coach Marisa Moseley on their players opens up with the sudden leave of absence of sophomore guard Tessa Grady.
Badgers was at the center of scandal last week after their former player Tessa Towers accused them of mental health abuse during her short time with the team.
Towers joined the “You’re funny” trend on Tiktok where users posts about their past traumas which they believe is the reason behind their comical personalities.
For Towers, it was her time with the Badgers.
“My coach and staff said if I were to say anything remotely close to thoughts of su!c!de or de@+h to my therapist, I would be kicked off the team,” she wrote in one of the slides.
Wisconsin Badgers forcing LOA on Tessa Grady?
How is Grady involved in this? She is the only active Badgers who commented and showed support to Towers and the words she used are serious.
“now this sounds familiar! glad we got out of that sh*t hole!,” she wrote in the comments section.
And now, she is taking leave of absence which she said is due to personal reasons.
Dear Badger Nation, I have decided to take a leave of absence from the team for personal reasons. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/EJ5XBFSK0w

It was her first Wisconsin-related post on X (formerly Twitter) since December of 2023.
Before the LOA, Grady has not been playing with the team due to injury although it was never stated what her injury was.
She played 25 games in her rookie year, averaging 3.6 points per game, playing around 10 minutes per contest.
