Green Bay Phoenix’s fire finally burned bright and got a victory after approximately three months. Not only that, they might have found a phoenix chick as Ben Tweedy showed what’s in store for them with his surprising performance.

Green Bay tripped Wright State Raiders to get their first win in 22 tries.
Tweedy started in just his fourth game of the season but he showed that he can hang out with team veterans as the freshman posted 27 points in 37 minutes of play. He also had seven rebounds and two assists in the game.
Talking to reporters post-game, Tweedy said his faith about the team’s hard work and progress never waivered.
“I tell the guys after every game, we aren’t losers. We are just a losing team right now. We put the work in each day and we keep on getting better. We just haven’t really figured out how to win yet,” he said.
Tweedy led the way but it was total team effort from the Phoenix.

Sophomore Marcus Hall had an all around game with 15 points, seven assists, and five rebounds while Preston Ruedinger contributed 14 points.
The bench also chipped in as Ryan Wade had 11 points while C.J. O’Hara had seven points.
Green Bay Phoenix coach feels optimistic after the win
The last three months may have not been kind but head coach Doug Gottlieb is being patient.
“I believe in talking to God. And I just said, ‘Thank you.’ We needed that,” Gottlieb told reporters after the history win.
As for his team, the wins may not be arriving regularly but he believes the latest win is a product of their hard work and they will get there soon.

“I just wanted to show them that we are working toward the common goal. We are going to get there.”
Next up for them are the Robert Morris Colonials who are currently second in the Horizon conference standings and are on a four-game winning streak.
