The Green Bay Packers are a team that shares a common goal: winning the Super Bowl. It is that singular determination, from both players and coaches, that has led so many players to fall in love with the organization. It is also one of the many, many things Packers fans love about it, too.
Winning the Super Bowl is a rare occurence. Green Bay leads the NFL with 13 championships and have been around for 106 years. And they always believe they can add more.
That is why the two most recent high profile free agents that the Packers signed, safety Xavier McKinney and running back Josh Jacobs, came to Green Bay. After years of toiling away on losing teams like the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders, they wanted to join a winning organization.
Both Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney Made the Pro Bowl in Their First Season with the Green Bay Packers
McKinney and Jacobs came to Green Bay to compete for and win a Super Bowl. Their contributions to the team have led to an improved regular season record. At 11-5, the Packers have already clinched a spot in the NFL Playoffs.
Jacobs is fifth in the NFL with 1,285 rushing yards while McKinney is second in the league with seven interceptions, a career high.
Both of them were recognized as being among the best players at their respective positions on Thursday morning when it was announced that they had been named to the Pro Bowl. For Jacobs, it is his third time receiving the honor while it is the first time for McKinney.
Packers defensive end Rashan Gary was also named to his first Pro Bowl.

Speaking to reporters after practice, McKinney said, “I was happy. I told my family. And obviously, it’s been a long time coming and just to finally receive that, show it is from everybody really, not cannot thank enough people. The fans, these coaches, my teammates that are here that have helped me get to this.”
“Pro Bowl X!” Keisean Nixon yelled from off camera.
“So really, it’s not even about me. It’s about that guys that have helped me get to this point.”
Xavier McKinney’s first Pro Bowl nod comes in his fifth season as the NFC’s starting free safety.
He thanks the fans, Packers organization, teammates and his family.
