A pair of NFC North contenders in the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions meet to decide division supremacy in the Motor City under the bright lights tonight, with both teams sitting at pivotal marks.
The Packers are flying high after coming through with three consecutive victories. Also, they dominate in the all-time regular-season series over Detroit 104-77.
Lions outstanding season and one of the best offenses in the NFL
The Lions have had a great season with an 11-1 record this season with their only loss being against the Buccaneers. Detroit narrowly escaped in a 23-20 win on Thanksgiving against the Chicago Bears.
Detroit is on a 10-game winning streak. They have been an explosive offense averaging 32 points per game with 240.8 passing yards and 154.4 rushing yards.
The Packers beating Miami and being excellent on both sides of the ball
Green Bay is coming off of a dominant performance against the Dolphins where they led 24-3 at halftime and never allowed Miami a glimpse of hope. Packers out gained the Dolphins 388 to 375.
The Packers offense has been productive this season averaging 26.5 points per game with 234 passing yards and 148.5 rushing yards. Their defense has been reliable all season.
