The Green Bay Packers lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild card round by a final score of 22-10. With the loss, Green Bay finished the season with an 11-7 record and lost their last three games.
There will be a lot of questions about the Packers this offseason. During the Eagles game, it showed that not having a number one wide receiver hurt this football team. One name to keep an eye on in free agency this offseason for the Packers is wide receiver Tee Higgins.
Green Bay Packers Fans Want the Team To Sign Wide Receiver Tee Higgins In NFL Free Agency This Offseason
During the game on Sunday, Christian Watson was not available due to injury. During the game against the Eagles, Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed both got injured and did not return. Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath were the wide receivers who finished the game not injured.
Because there is no true number one wide receiver on this team, many Packers fans are clamoring for General Manager Brian Gutekunst to sign wide receiver Tee Higgins for the NFL free agency. The fanbase had to say this about wanting to sign Higgins this offseason:
#Packers signing Tee Higgins would be a fun shake-up for the league. Lol #NFL #NFLPlayoffs #NFLTwitter

The Packers need to get Jordan a true wr1. Who do you think it’ll be? Tae Reunion? Tee Higgins? Chris Godwin? DK even? Trade up for TMac, LB3, or Egbuka? @joelvmoran

Higgins this season with the Cincinnati Bengals caught 73 passes for 911 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, along with averaging 12.5 yards per catch. He was targeted 109 times this offseason. Higgins has missed some games due to injury over the past couple of seasons, but he has the chance to be the number one wide receiver in the Packers offseason.
Other Suitors
There is no question that Green Bay will have competition for Higgins this offseason. Some other teams that could use some wide receiver help are the Washington Commanders, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New York Giants, and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Packers signed two marquee free agents last offseason: Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney. Maybe Green Bay needs to do it again this offseason by signing Tee Higgins and getting a true number-one wide receiver for quarterback Jordan Love.
