The 2025 NFL season is rapidly approaching, as it is only just a little over a month before the Green Bay Packers take the field for a Week 1 showdown against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field on Sep. 8.
For now, the Packers are busy preparing for the campaign, with the training camp in full swing.
There are plenty of faces Packers fans are excited to see back in action come the new season, including, of course, the likes of quarterback Jordan Love and running back Josh Jacobs, but there are also the others, the younger ones, who are providing some excitement and optimism for Green Bay’s short and long-term future.

ESPN places Green Bay Packers at No. 25 spot on under-25 talent list for 2025

Last year, the Packers were ranked ninth on ESPN’s under-25 list in large part because Love, who is now 26 years old, still qualified. The same can be said about wide receivers Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, linebacker Quay Walker and offensive tackle Rasheed Walker.
This time around, the Packers are only 23rd, though, ESPN’s Aaron Schatz still mentioned some notable under-25 names on both sides of the field, including first-round pick Matthew Golden and another wideout in Dontayvion Wicks, plus tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft.
On defense, defensive backs Javon Bullard, Evan Williams and linebacker Edgerring Cooper got a shoutout as well as edge rusher Lukas Van Ness, who could take a leap in 2025.
Some of the factors considered by ESPN include the number of starts made by a player, snaps played and value and length of contracts, among others.
For what it’s worth, the Houston Texans are No. 1 again on the list, just like they did in 2024.
