WEEK 1: Green Bay Packers Win @ Philadelphia Eagles
By all accounts, the Green Bay Packers have had a honed-in offseason, primed to build on their impressive 2023-24 campaign. With week one coming as an away game in Brazil expect the South American Packers fans to show up loud, likely appearing as a neutral site or even Packers dominant.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive backs struggled a lot last season, allowing the fifth most yards of any group through the air. Despite acquiring two top-four-ranked cornerbacks in the NFL draft, expect Lafleur and Jordan Love to test them early and often. The Packers will likely find success with that game plan.
WEEK 2: Win VS Indianapolis Colts
Although the Colts are building an exciting young core, it seems unlikely that they will be prepared for a team like the Green Bay Packers by week two. Barring Anthony Richardson taking over the game with his legs, it is hard to imagine they will be able to keep up with the Packers.
WEEK 3: Win @ Tennessee Titans
Similarly to the Colts, it seems unlikely that the Titans will be able to keep up with a high-powered offense like the Green Bay Packers. The Packers’ defense will be able to play very aggressively against the Titans’ lackluster offensive line along with a lack of a speed threat on the outside, expect multiple sacks and potentially multiple turnovers caused by the Packers’ defense.
WEEK 4: Win vs Minnesota Vikings
The Green Bay Packers’ first NFC North opponent comes in week four. After a good ramp-up, the Packers should have more than enough juice to win at home versus the Vikings. Jaire Alexander has shown on more than one occasion he can slow down Justin Jefferson and with Sam Darnold at the helm, it is unlikely the Vikings will have enough splash plays to stay in the game.
WEEK 5: Win @ Los Angeles Rams
This outcome completely depends on what Rams team shows up versus the Packers. At times last season, the Rams appeared to be a high-caliber offense with complimentary defense and a knack for getting wins. Other times they did not look ready for the teams they faced and took bad losses. Mathew Stafford is capable of beating any NFL team, particularly with the help of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.
But with the departure of future hall-of-famer Aaron Donald, it would be no surprise if the Rams’ pass rush fails to get to Jordan Love even once. If the Rams’ defense fails to put on a great showing, it is easy to imagine the Packers pulling out a win even in the intimidating stadium that is So-Fi.
WEEK 6: Win vs Arizona Cardinals
This matchup has the potential to be a low-scoring grind type of affair. Last season the Cardinals managed to stay in nearly every game despite typically being large underdogs, the grit of the Cardinals has also historically shown against the Green Bay Packers consistently.
This will potentially be the first big game from newly acquired star running back Josh Jacobs, as the Cardinals sported the worst rush defense in the entire NFL and failed to acquire any notable run stuffers in the offseason. If the Packers allow him to workhorse for 25+ touches, expect triple-digit yards and at least a couple of touchdowns.
WEEK 7: Loss vs Houston Texans
This highly anticipated showdown between the eerily similar NFC and AFC rising contenders will likely be a spectacle of an event. The Houston Texans established themselves as contenders after defeating the best defense in the NFL in their wildcard matchup vs the Cleveland Browns. Figureheaded by the 2023-24 OROTY and DROTY, the young Texans will likely look to make a statement against the historic Green Bay Packers.
The Packers’ newly hired defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will be facing his toughest task up to that point going against the high-powered and deep passing unit of the Texans. It is hard to imagine the coach executing to where he needs after just 6 games under his belt, though it will certainly be an important learning experience for the young coordinator.
WEEK 8: Win @ Jacksonville Jaguars
WEEK 9: Win vs Detroit Lions
WEEK 10: Green Bay Packers BYE Week
The Packers’ first matchup against the 2023 NFC North champions comes on Lambeau turf. With offseason improvements happening for both defenses, it is hard to predict how the matchup will look. This is one of those games that may be won off the backs of the Lambeau crowd.
WEEK 11: Win @ Chicago Bears
The Packers’ dominance over the Bears will continue despite the Bears’ active offseason. The Packers trench on both sides of the ball has displayed not only better personnel but better execution. Mark it down as 11 straight games of dominance from Green Bay.
WEEK 12: Win VS San Francisco 49ers
The Green Bay Packers were knocked out of the playoffs by the Niners last season, despite a valiant effort. Nearly upsetting the eventual NFC Champion seemingly motivated the Packers more than a win would have. The Green Bay Packers roster got better, while the same can not be said about the 49ers. If the Green Bay Packers are able to back up the offseason talk (and hit their field goals) the Packers should deliver for the home fans.
WEEK 13: Win VS Miami Dolphins
The Green Bay Packers run into the speedster group in Miami on Thanksgiving. Coming off of a game against the 49ers, the Packers’ preparation should be honed in. After being able to upset the Dolphins on Christmas in Miami just a few years ago, it can be expected that they will pull out some more holiday cheer this Thanksgiving.
The Miami Dolphins have notably struggled in cold weather games (nine straight losses under 40 degrees), so expect the Lambeau winter to assist the Pack.
WEEK 14: Loss @ Detroit Lions
Likely a split on the season series, Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions are too resilient to allow a sweep.
WEEK 15: Win @ Seattle Seahawks
WEEK 16: Win VS New Orleans Saints
One key moment from Green Bay’s 2023 season was the 4th quarter comeback vs the New Orleans Saints week 3 comeback. It showed early what Jordan Love was capable of, over a year later, expect for this to not be nearly as close of a game.
Week 17: Loss @ Minnesota Vikings
A team with nothing to lose is a scary one to play in the NFL. With one of the most intimidating home stadiums in the NFL and all types of offensive playmakers (and likely a rookie QB by this time), the Vikings will be volatile and unpredictable.
WEEK 18: Loss vs Chicago Bears
Green Bay Packers starters will likely sit multiple quarters after no more than four losses before the week 18 matchup, giving the Chicago Bears their first win vs the Packers in over five years.
Green Bay Packers Final Record: 13-4, NFC North Champion, NFC #1 Seed
