The Green Bay Packers are starting to gain rhythm with quarterback Jordan Love back under center. They have already scored their first win of the season with Love in action just last Sunday when they took down the Los Angeles Rams on the road to the tune of a 24-19 score. Before that, the Packers had a failed comeback bid against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field in Week 4, losing to their NFC North Division rivals, 31-29.
Despite that loss to the Vikings, Packers offensive lineman Rasheed Walker believes that his team will be a whole lot better the next time Green Bay and Minnesota face off against each other.
Green Bay Packers OL Rasheed Walker can’t wait to see the Minnesota Vikings again
In a recent appearance on 97.3 The Game, Walker summed up the first five weeks of the Packers, implying that things are looking up for Green Bay again while also expressing his thoughts on seeing the Vikings down the road.
“Week 1, we played in Brazil. That was a very interesting opening game for the season. Week two and three up, that’s when we had Malik [Willis]. Hats off to Malik. He came in, literally I watched his guy come in the first day, have to learn the offense and just growth from his first day as a Packer to his first start. Just the confidence that he carried himself with, it was just very remarkable.”
“So, you know, Malik was able to get us over the hump for two weeks. Jordan came back into town. I feel like, as a team, we were all starting to gel together. We actually came back from a 28-point deficit. You know what I’m saying? We are still the Packers. The game against the Vikings, that’s not how we wanted to start the division game playoff, but we want to see them again as y’all see this weekend, we came and we smashed the Rams, so we just, we are, we’re beaming up.”
The Packers, who are 3-2 thus far in the 2024 NFL regular season, will have to wait several weeks before getting their shot at revenge against Minnesota. The two teams won’t play each other until Week 17 when Green Bay pays the Vikings a visit for a game that could have serious playoff implications.
