The Green Bay Packers will need to find a couple of cornerbacks this offseason to improve the position. It is quite possible that Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Keisean Nixon may not be with the team next season.
Alexander does not know if he will be with the team next season. He has been plagued with injuries over the last couple of seasons. With it being the Senior Bowl this week, the Green Bay Packers are meeting with players.
Green Bay Packers Meet With Louisville Cardinals Cornerback Quincy Riley During Senior Bowl Week
The Green Bay Packers are looking to potentially draft some cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Green Bay did not address the position in the 2024 NFL Draft. On Wednesday, Alec_332 reported on his Twitter page:
“The #Packers met with
CB, Quincy Riley at the Senior Bowl Riley has been a standout this week with lockdown coverage. Out of four targets today, Riley had 3 PBU. The Louisville CB is lockdown“
Riley is 6’0″ and weighs 195 lbs. This past season with the Louisville Cardinals, he recorded 33 tackles, one forced fumble, two interceptions, and nine pass deflections. Quincy Riley has been getting scouted by a lot of teams this week at the Senior Bowl. The Green Bay Packers meeting with him this week means they’re doing their due diligence at the cornerback position.
Jaire Alexander Also Went To Louisville
Jaire Alexander also went to Louisville and he was drafted in the 2018 NFL Draft in the first round. He turned out to be a good choice for Green Bay because, for a little while, he was the top cornerback on the team. It would be a surprise to see Alexander back with the Packers for the 2025 season.
For now, Quincy Riley has not been projected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, maybe the former Louisville Cardinals cornerback could climb up draft boards leading up to draft day.
