The Green Bay Packers finished the season with an 11-6 record after losing to the Chicago Bears 24-22 on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Green Bay will be the seventh seed in the NFC playoffs and they will face the Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) on the road in the first round.
The Packers have not played well over the last couple of weeks heading into the playoffs. Green Bay has no choice but to turn on the lights.
Green Bay Packers Fans React To Facing the Philadelphia Eagles In the First Round Of the Playoffs
On Sunday night, it was announced that the Packers would face the Eagles in the first round of the NFC playoffs on Sunday, January 12. The kickoff for that game will be at 3:30 p.m. CT on FOX. Green Bay is the seventh seed in the NFC for the second consecutive season.
The Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in the opening round last season before losing to the San Francisco 49ers. Green Bay fans don’t feel as optimistic heading into the wild card round this season. Here is what Green Bay fans had to say on Twitter ahead of the matchup:
Hopefully we decided to actually show up this time

Will they win this time after the loss to the Bears?

How embarrassing to let the loser f’ing Bears win at Lambeau when 6th seed was at stake. Pathetic.
Packers were a finger tip away from losing to them in the 1st meeting too, and going 0-6 in their division.
They’re gonna get absolutely curb stomped by Philly.

Ain’t this the same time packers beaten the cowboys last year

The Green Bay Packers were winning games toward the end of last season and this time around, they are limping into the postseason. Jordan Love was playing better entering the playoffs last season than he did this season.
Faced Eagles In Wild Card Round Back In 2010
In 2010, the Green Bay Packers were the sixth seed in the NFC and went on the road and played the Philadephia Eagles. It was also a rematch of a Week 1 game. Green Bay won the wild card game that season 21-16 and that was when Aaron Rodgers won Super Bowl MVP that season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
For now, the Packers don’t look anything close to that team. It will be interesting to see if the Green Bay Packers can avenge the Week 1 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles from the Brazil game earlier in the season or if they will be in for a long day.
