The Senior Bowl practices on Wednesday brought a lot of talent together down in Mobile, Alabama, with the Green Bay Packers meeting some of the talents available. Among those whom Green Bay talked to was Utah State Aggies wide receiver and NFL draft hopeful Jalen Royals, who caught up with Alec Courtier of the Packer Report and offered an interesting take about his NFL comparison.
According to Courtier, Royals thinks he’s someone like a Davante Adams on the field.
Needless to say, that is a huge claim. Adams is one of the best downfield weapons of his generation – and of all-time, and someone Packers fans are very much familiar with.
Royals also said that he would “love to reunite” with Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
Jalen Royals could be an interesting NFL draft target for the Packers
Although Royals and Love never got the chance to play together with Utah State, Courtier told a fan in the comments section of his post that the two players “have been in contact through being Utah State alums.”
Royals broke out in his junior year in college when he recorded 1,080 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns on 71 catches through 13 games with the Aggies in 2023. In the 2024 college football season, Royals took a step back but still came away with an impressive total of 834 receiving yards to go with six touchdowns on 55 catches. However, it’s worth mentioning that he played in only seven games in his senior year.
