The Green Bay Packers could have a “golden” season ahead. With rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden, the Packers have a new promising weapon downfield to help the team’s Jordan Love-led passing attack.

Golden’s speed, excellent hands, and versatility offer so much excitement for the Packers, who are already starting to see him make magic downfield in training camp.

Amid all the attention he has been getting, Golden is keeping himself grounded. His focus remains on getting better, as he knows there’s plenty of ground for him to cover before he can truly become a star in the NFL.

“Long as I’m putting 1 foot in front the other , I’m heading right where God want me 💫💚 #brickbybrick”,” the former Texas Longhorns star wideout wrote in a post on Instagram on Wednesday. The post also featured several photos from his experience so far at Packers training camp.

His post garnered lots of attention as well, including these:

“You make me so proud, Matthew!! Be great and be great at it!!! 💚💛”

    “behind ya 1hunnid%”

“You the 1 G it’s gone show when that time come”

“We are so proud of you!”

“Really in da mix I been seen it😤❤️‍🔥”

Selected 23rd overall in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft, Golden will look to absorb as much learning as he can in the offseason before making his pro debut, which will likely be in Week 1 of the 2025 season against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.
