The Green Bay Packers had three players named to the Pro Bowl this year: safety Xavier McKinney, pass rusher Rashan Gary, and running back Josh Jacobs. As is tradition, the Pro Bowl is being held this weekend, the week before the Super Bowl.
However, instead of a traditional football game, players now participate in a variety of contests and games. These including fun playground games like dodgeball and flag football, as well as a variety of party games.
It was during one of these that two of Green Bay’s Pro Bowl players revealed who they perceive to be Matt LaFleur‘s favorite player.
Green Bay Packers Pro Bowlers Xavier McKinney and Rashan Gary Agree Jordan Love Is Matt LaFleur’s Favorite Player
During one of these aforementioned party games, pairs of Pro Bowl teammates were asked to each identify who they thought their head coach’s favorite player was. The two could not talk to each other or look at each other’s answers.
As one can see from the photo above, both McKinney and Gary agree that starting quarterback Jordan Love is LaFleur’s favorite player.
While that may or may not be true, one cannot blame LaFleur if this is truly the case. Love is the quarterback he and general manager Brian Gutekunst hand-picked to succeed Aaron Rodgers as the starter in Green Bay. Known for his work with quarterbacks, LaFleur has put in countless hours in helping Love develop into an NFL starter.
This past season, Love completed 63.1% of his passes for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a passer rating of 96.7 (15 games played).
Since becoming the starting quarterback, Love has completed 63.7% of his passes for 7,548 yards, 57 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a 96.3 passer rating.
