Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur spoke to the media on Tuesday at the owners’ meetings. There were many different topics that he discussed.

He was asked about the former Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers currently being a free agent. There have been different teams that have been pursuing him. One team that is interested in him is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Another team that Rodgers is interested in joining is Green Bay’s archrival, the Minnesota Vikings.
Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur Talks About Aaron Rodgers Potentially Joining the Minnesota Vikings

Former Green Bay quarterback legend Brett Favre played for also the New York Jets and the Vikings in his NFL career. Rodgers has also played for New York in his career, and he is looking for his next destination. The Steelers have been the favorites to sign the former Packers quarterback, but some want to see him sign with Minnesota.
The Packers head coach spoke to the media about his thoughts if Rodgers decided to sign with the Vikings instead of the Steelers. LaFleur said to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic,
“It would be a hell of a story, wouldn’t it? There’s great players on every team, so if it works out, it works out. It’s not something that I’m going to sit there and constantly think about. Sure, you think about it the week of when you’re playing somebody. But if it works out, great for them.”
For now, the Vikings plan on starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy for the 2025 NFL season. If for some reason Minnesota signed Rodgers, he would have completed the Favre prophecy.
Rodgers last season with the Jets completed 63.0% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. If Minnesota signed Rodgers, they could be the favorites to win Super Bowl LX. There would be a lot of interesting reactions if the former Packers quarterback signed with the archrivals.
