The Green Bay Packers, for the most part, already know who their primary offensive starters are going to be for the 2025 NFL season, as well as who their first players off the bench will be. Jordan Love and Malik Willis have the starting and backup quarterback jobs locked up, and Josh Jacobs is entrenched as Green Bay’s starting running back.
Similarly, the Packers already know that Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams, and Matthew Golden will be their top five wide receivers.
At tight end, of course, Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave will look to be one of the NFL’s best duos at the position. Ben Sims, as has been the case for the past two seasons, will be the third tight end.
But what is very intriguing is the battle for two starting jobs on the offensive line that are up for grabs.
The Green Bay Packers Two Opening Jobs on the Offensive Line

There are currently three jobs that are locked up out of the five starting offensive line positions. Zach Tom, fresh off of his new four-year contract extension, is firmly entrenched as the Packers right tackle. Aaron Banks, who was signed to a four-year contract in free agency, was brought in to be the starting left guard. Finally, Elgton Jenkins, a two-time Pro Bowler, is Green Bay’s starting center.
That leaves right guard and left tackle as the two positions that are open to competition. Last year, these positions were started primarily by Sean Rhyan and Rasheed Walker, respectively. However, neither player is guaranteed to have the starting spot again in 2025.
Rhyan competed with 2024 first round pick Jordan Morgan last year for the starting job at right guard, and did not win it outright. Indeed, Morgan saw some playing time there during the regular season last year, but was limited to just six games because of a shoulder injury.
Walker, a former seventh round pick entering the final year of his rookie contract, took over at left tackle when David Bakhtiari went down for good. He has played relatively well, but not well enough for Green Bay to view him as a sure-fire starter.
Green Bay Packers OC Adam Stenavich Has High Praise for Jordan Morgan

When Jenkins was unable to participate early in training camp due to a back injury, Rhyan took reps as the center in practice. This meant that Morgan slid in and played right guard in these initial drills. But now that Jenkins is healthy and back on the field, offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich is having the former first round pick compete with Walker at left tackle.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Stenavich said of Morgan, “We were kind of limited with Banks being out and Elgton being out we had to focus him more at guard, but we’re going to work him in at tackle as much as possible to get some competition out there on the left side and see how it goes.
“I’m really excited from what he’s shown on tape from both positions.”
The big question going forward is where Morgan and this year’s second round pick, Anthony Belton, will fit on the line in the future. Morgan, obviously, can play any offensive line position except center while the Packers view Belton as a pure tackle.
Belton is also a development project who likely will not play much in 2025, but he could be the future at left tackle should Morgan find a home at right guard.
