No one can argue against the fact that Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been looking like a potential superstar in the second half of the 2023 NFL season. After a brutal start to the year, he has figured things out and has shown no signs of slowing down. Now, he has the Packers just one win away against the Chicago Bears in Week 18 away from the playoffs.
At one point this season, the national media was calling for the Packers to consider a quarterback change. The media was already ready to write him off as a failure following Aaron Rodgers.
Since then, Love has forced his way into being a fringe MVP candidate. From a numbers only perspective, he actually has a case. Unfortunately, the Packers being an 8-8 team doesn’t give him much of a chance to beat out players like Lamar Jackson for the prestigious award.

They have Love as the highest-graded quarterback in the entire NFL in that period of time with a 90.4 overall grade.

Should there be any more doubt that Jordan Love is going to be the guy for the Green Bay Packers long-term? He has a very good shot to be the third straight star quarterback that the franchise produces.
All of that being said, Love is heading into the biggest game of his young career this week. Beating a motivated and much-improved Bears team to get into the playoffs won’t be easy. Chicago has been waiting on this game all season long since Green Bay put a beating on them in Week 1.
If Love can put together another big game and propel the Packers into the playoffs, his season will be complete. Then, the team can focus on making a surprising playoff run. Either way, it’s been a great season to be a Packers fan and there should be a lot of excitement about the future.
