The Green Bay Packers entered the 2023 NFL season as a completely unknown football team. No one knew what to expect from them after Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets in the offseason. Jordan Love had not seen much playing time before being named the full-time starter and many expected a rough first season for him as the new franchise quarterback.
While the expectations were not great for the Packers, they have completely silenced the critics. Any doubt about the move from Rodgers to Love has been quieted.
Not only has Love proven himself to be the franchise quarterback of the future, he has looked an awful lot like Rodgers himself. Whether it be the overall statistics he has recorded or the mannerisms with which he plays, the future is extremely bright for Green Bay’s young signal caller.
Jordan Love Becomes 4th QB In Green Bay Packers’ History To Reach Huge Milestone
With just one week left to play in the season, a Week 18 win-and-in matchup against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field, Love has done something that only three other quarterbacks in franchise history were able to accomplish.
As shared by Pro Football Focus on their Packers’ page, Love became the fourth quarterback in team history to throw for 30 touchdowns in a season.

On the season, Jordan Love has completed 63.1 percent of his passes for 3,843 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He has also picked up 248 yards and four more scores on the ground.
Those numbers give the Green Bay Packers and their fans reason for extreme excitement about the future. It doesn’t appear that they will have to go through a long stretch like most teams do when finding a new quarterback to replace a future Hall of Famer.
If the Packers get into the NFL playoffs, Love will have solidified himself against his critics even more. No one gave him a chance to lead his team this far. Taking the step into the postseason would be the icing on the cake of what has been a season that fans could only hope to see.
