The Green Bay Packers, overall, had a successful season. At least, it appears that way when one looks at their 11-6 regular season record. However, they were just 1-5 against NFC North opponents and 0-6 against the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Philadelphia Eagles.
Part of the reason why Green Bay lost all of these games was the lack of a pass rush. Indeed, fans expected a great deal more from the front seven after new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley promised his crew would create havoc in opposing backfields.
It simply did not happen, and on Thursday, the Packers took the first step towards ensuring that 2025 does not produce the same disappointment.
The Green Bay Packers Fired Defensive Line Coach Jason Rebrovich
On Thursday, the Packers decided to part ways with defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich, who had been with the organization since 2022:
The Packers have let defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich go, according to a source.
Rebrovich coached outside linebackers under previous coordinator Joe Barry and moved to D-line this past season under new coordinator Jeff Hafley.

Rebrovich had previously been Green Bay’s outside linebackers coach in 2022. In 2023, he was given the title pass rush specialist. As one can tell from these dates, he had previously worked with former Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry.
When Barry was fired following the 2023 season, Rebrovich was retained and moved to defensive line coach, a position he held with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills previously.
Green Bay Packers Fans React to Jason Rebrovich Being Fired
As one might imagine, fans were not really broken up about Rebrovich being let go after the Packers failed to have a productive pass rush in 2024:
Much needed. Props to MLF for taking quick action https://t.co/2VvZ1CsQV6

Celebrating one’s firing is not my thing, but Rebrovich’s group didn’t match its talent level. https://t.co/uchaaOInKR

Was the one coach that really seemed like there was a change needed. Pass rush didn’t live up to expectation. Packers will get a new voice in the room. https://t.co/1IaSOUz4ps

Does Bob Saleh just want to take gap year and coach Pass Rushers with his BFF? https://t.co/5hp3iSBwUO

It will be interesting to see who the Packers bring in as the next defensive line coach, but it sure was obvious that a change was needed.
