One of the biggest, yet expected, stories of the NFL offseason was the Green Bay Packers deciding to release two-time Second Team All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander. That decision, of course, was made following a tumultuous two seasons of the defensive star struggled to stay on the field due to various injuries.
Alexander missed 10 games in 2023 due to a series of leg injuries, but also was suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. It was then that many began to wonder if the two-time Pro Bowler was long for Green Bay, but the two sides put the matter behind them and entered 2024 ready to move ahead.
And 2024 got off to a good start for Alexander. He intercepted two passes within the first three weeks of the season, including his first career pick six. But then the injuries crept back.

In Week Eight of last season, Alexander suffered what was later revealed to be a torn PCL on the final defensive play of Green Bay’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. It soon came out that the Packers wanted Alexander to rehab during the season and return to the field, but he wanted to have surgery.
He attempted to play again in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears, but took himself out of the contest after just 10 snaps.
As the weeks of the season wore on, Alexander frequently was a full participant in practice, and many fans hoped to see him in games again, but he was always scratched from the active roster on game days.
When Green Bay’s season ended following their Wild Card round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Alexander made waves by telling reporters that he had “nothing good to say” and that he wasn’t sure if he was going to be back with the Packers in 2025.
And, of course, he is not. When they could not find a trade partner among other NFL teams, Green Bay decided to release their star cornerback.
Baltimore Ravens Cornerback Jaire Alexander Reveals True Feelings About the Green Bay Packers

Given the way Alexander’s time with the Packers ended, one might have thought that he harbored ill will towards the organization. It does not appear, however, that he does.
Speaking to reporters at Baltimore Ravens training camp, Alexander said that he has fallen “in love” with his new team and that he believes he is in the right place for him. At the same time, though, he has nothing but love and appreciation for the Packers organization:

Alexander signed a one-year $6 million with the Ravens after being released by Green Bay. He is reunited with their start quarterback, Lamar Jackson, who was his teammate back in college.
