There are few things as synonymous with the Green Bay Packers as cheese. From cheeseheads to the countless dairy farms of Wisconsin, cheese is one of the most identifiable aspects of Wisconsin fandom. That is why Packers fans were thrilled that the team drafted TWO players with cheese-related names: tight end Tucker Kraft and defensive lineman Colby Wooden. It did not take long for the nicknames and jokes to make the rounds on Twitter, and the Packers’ newest tight end was loving it.
Green Bay Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Responds to “Kraft Cheese” Nickname
Green Bay Packers fans love interacting with players on Twitter. Some players are more interactive than others, but a lot of the younger players are more likely to be on active on social media. Tucker Kraft saw the “Kraft Cheese” nickname making the rounds, and the former Chicago Bears fan reacted:
KRAFT CHEESE MAN! These fans are killing me already 😂😂.
— Tucker Kraft (@TuckerKraft) April 29, 2023
If that were not enough, Kraft also mentioned the one thing he is most looking forward to when he spoke to the media following his selection:
New Packers TE Tucker Kraft says he's looking forward to his first Lambeau Leap:
"That's something every single Bears fan in the nation will hate."

Hopefully those Lambeau Leaps come early and often for Kraft and the Packers in 2023. Kraft and fellow tight end Luke Musgrave were drafted to help improve the Packers’ tight end room that lost Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis. The two tight ends are both well-rounded players that are proficient in both blocking and receiving. It has been years since Green Bay had even one tight end that was adept at both.
With so many changes on the team this year, there will be many things worth watching. The tight end position is going to be one of the most fun.
