The Green Bay Packers are 11-4 and have already clinched a Wild Card spot in the upcoming NFL Playoffs. They have two games remaining, both against hated NFC North divisional rivals. Green Bay travels to the Twin Cities to take on the Minnesota Vikings this week and will end their season against the Chicago Bears at home in Week 18.
Unfortunately for the Packers, they are not as healthy as they would like to be going into the final two games of the season. Of course, this can be said of any NFL team and is not all that surprising given the violent nature of football and the fact that they have been playing since September.
But even more unfortunate is the fact that the latest Packers injury report included some new names and injuries.
The Green Bay Packers Added Two-Time Pro Bowl Left Guard Elgton Jenkins to Their Injury Report
The Packers had several pieces of bad news on Thursday’s edition of their injury report ahead of their matchup with the Vikings. Jaire Alexander was downgraded from a full participant on Wednesday to a limited participant today. Head coach Matt LaFleur has stated that he does not think the two-time Pro Bowl cornerback will play this weekend.
Additionally, backup swing tackle Andre Dillard was added to the injury report with a concussion.
But perhaps the most concerning addition to the Packers injury report was that of Elgton Jenkins, who is dealing with a knee injury. Jenkins was not on the injury report on Wednesday and was a full participant. He did not practice at all on Thursday.
