The Green Bay Packers are looking sharp in the past five weeks especially on the offensive side.
The team has scored at least 30 points in their last five games, the longest active streak this season and the second longest streak of scoring such amount of points in franchise history.
While things already look good for the team, they are not yet satisfied. The team prepares for playoffs by stepping up on a higher gear.
“We’re all just trying to chase perfection. That’s the mindset we’re going to have week in and week out,” said running back Chris Brooks during Thursday practice for game against Minnesota Vikings.
It was just not the offense that works so well for the Packers who are getting more confident each game. Even their defense.
In those five weeks, the team trashed opponents who were even expected to beat them. They blew out the San Francisco 49ers on Week 12, took care of the Seattle Seahawks, and then humiliated the New Orleans Saints, 34-0.
Matt LaFleur thinks Green Bay Packers could have done more damage vs Saints
It would be easy for casual fans to say that the Packers had a perfect game against the Saints.
However, for coach Matt LaFleur, the second half taught them many lessons. He believes they were slowed down by the opponents defense.
I thought they did a good job of getting to Jordan when we decided to throw the ball … they played a little bit more man coverage in the second half and made it a little bit more difficult just to get explosive plays, but ultimately, it was one of those where you felt pretty comfortable with a lead and you weren’t going to get too crazy.
The team will have an opportunity to apply those lessons on December 29 when they meet the Minnesota Vikings in their Week 17 encounter.
