The Green Bay Packers did not advance in the NFL Playoffs despite making the postseason for the second consecutive season. The team that defeated them, the Philadelphia Eagles, however, are playing in Super Bowl LIX against the defending back-to-back champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Current Odds to Win Super Bowl LIX Between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs
Currently the Chiefs are favored to win the Super Bowl for the third time in a row, according to ESPN’s betting odds. They have -1.5 odds to cover the spread and the money line lists Kansas City as -125 favorites while listing the Eagles as +105 underdogs.
Of course, these odds may change throughout the course of the days leading up to Super Bowl LIX. But fear not, because online casino Mastercard will save the day and help bettors keep up with the best trends and updates.
Former Green Bay Packers Coach Andy Reid Could Make NFL History
As many Packers fans are aware, the Chiefs are looking to make NFL history on Super Bowl Sunday. Head coach Andy Reid, who won Super Bowl XXXI as Green Bay’s tight ends coach before becoming the quarterbacks coach in 1997, is already one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history.
If he leads the Chiefs to victory in Super Bowl LIX, he will become the first head coach since Vince Lombardi to lead his team to three consecutive NFL titles. Lombardi’s Packers accomplished the feat in 1965-1967, a span that included Super Bowl I and Super Bowl II.
The only other coach in NFL history to win three titles in a row was Curly Lambeau, whose Packers accomplished it in 1929-1931.
