Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is on his way to being a Pro Football Hall of Fame Nominee in Canton, Ohio. Rodgers was one of the best quarterbacks of his generation and he won several MVPs with Green Bay and even won a Super Bowl MVP with them in 2010.
It is quite possible that Rodgers could be playing his last game of his NFL career on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins with the New York Jets. There are a lot of questions about Aaron Rodgers heading into the 2024 NFL offseason.
Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Sam Darnold Is One Game Away From Tying Former Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers For Most Games With a Passer Rating Of 100 During One NFL Season
During the 2020 NFL season, Green Bay was the number one seed in the NFC and Aaron Rodgers won the MVP award that season. This season, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold may not win the MVP Award, but he is certainly playing like one for the Vikings.
After Minnesota defeated Green Bay on Sunday, there was one stat that was revealed about Darnold. According to Alec Lewis of The Athletic, he said:
“Sam Darnold has 13 games this season with a passer rating above 100. That’s the second most in NFL history. Like, ever. Aaron Rodgers had 14 in 2020, but that’s it. (h/t

This is crazy that Rodgers’s passer rating stat is in jeopardy of being tied. Darnold has been great all season long for the Vikings. It is stunning that another quarterback is even knocking on the door for Aaron Rodgers’s passer rating record. That is a very hard stat to accomplish week in and week out. This is the best season of Sam Darnold’s career.

It is crazy that Sam Darnold may not even be an MVP finalist this season. Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, Derrick Henry, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen could all be an MVP finalist ahead of Sam Darnold this season. It is crazy that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ passer rating stat is in danger of being tied heading into Week 18 of the NFL season.
