Former Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones is entering his second season with the Minnesota Vikings as a top option in the rushing attack. Packers fans have lots of stories to tell about how great a rushing weapon Jones was for Green Bay during the seven years he spent with the Green & Gold, but he’s now doing it for a divisional rival.
However, nothing can take away all the great times Jones had with the Packers, with the bulk of his career production coming from his days with Green Bay.
The 30-year-old Jones is also very much likely to reach an extremely rare NFL achievement that only two players – both Pro Football Hall of Famers and absolute legends of the sport – have ever accomplished.
Former Green Bay Packers RB is close to rare NFL achievement

In a recent interview with Kay Adams on the “Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams,” Jones was asked about his thoughts on joining former NFL superstars Barry Sanders and Jim Brown in the soon-to-be three-member club of running backs with at least 10,000 career yards from scrimmage, 70 total touchdowns while averaging at least 4.9 yards per carry.
It’s pretty amazing,” Jones said, before adding that he’s a bit frustrated over his career rushing yards per carry dipping below 5.0. “I’m a little mad at that yards per carry was that I was sitting at 5.0. So I got to get that one back up there.”
With 438 yards, Vikings RB Aaron Jones will join a club that only has Barry Sanders and Jim Brown 🤯

So far in his pro career, Jones has 7,078 rushing yards and 2,484 receiving yards through 114 games (102 starts).
Jones is already 30 years old, but barring injuries or unforeseen factors, he should be able to reach the 10,000-yard plateau in 2025.
