The Wisconsin Badgers are generating more interest now than they have in, well, decades. New head coach Luke Fickell is from outside of the Badgers’ system, and fans are intrigued to see what changes he will bring. One of those changes has been on the recruiting trail. Fickell has already nabbed former four-star quarterback Nick Evers from Oklahoma and convinced Markus Allen to decommit from Minnesota and return to Wisconsin. However, credit should also be given to the coaches that Fickell has brought with him. One of these is Gino Guidugli, who was Fickell’s offensive coordinator at Cincinnati. One four-star running back prospect is wanting to revisit Wisconsin now that Guidugli is there.

Four-Star Running Back Darrion Dupree Has Newfound Interest in Wisconsin

According to Jon McNamara of Rivals, Darrion Dupree wants to revisit Wisconsin now that “he is at Wisconsin.”

#Wisconsin recently offered four-star RB Darrion Dupree from powerhouse Mt. Carmel in Chicago

Coach Guidugli, as mentioned, was Fickell’s offensive coordinator at Cincinnati. He also coached quarterbacks, a position he played himself while in college at Cincinnati. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans in 2005. His NFL career never took off, and Guidugli actually spent several years playing semi-professional football in the state of Wisconsin. From 2007-2009, he played for the Green Bay Blizzard. In 2011-2012, he played for the Milwaukee Mustangs.

Coach Guidugli started his coaching career at Western Michigan in 2010 as a graduate assistant. From 2013-2016, he was Western Michigan’s running back coach. He moved back to Cincinnati in 2017 as their running backs coach. In 2018, he switched to quarterbacks coach, a position he held until he followed Fickell to Wisconsin. In addition to coaching quarterbacks, he also held titles of passing game coordinator and offensive coordinator.

There is no official word on what position Guidugli will coach at Wisconsin.

    Darrion Dupree

A product of national powerhouse Mt. Carmel in Chicago, Darrion Dupree is one of the highest-sought after running backs in the country. He recently shared on Twitter that he had received an offer from Wisconsin:

    I’m Thankful to receive an Offer from The University of Wisconsin❤️🤍!! @GinoGuidugli @Jordanlynch06 @CaravanFootball @EDGYTIM @Rivals_Clint @AllenTrieu @247recruiting pic.twitter.com/0EiBojlBtb

Dupree is going is currently a junior and will not graduate high school until 2024. That being said, he already has offers from 20 schools, including Alabama, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Illinois, Cincinnati, and Iowa.
