Barcelona FC star Dani Olmo‘s connection with Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks got stronger on Thursday as he was welcomed at the Fiserv Forum for the NBA team’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.
It was not the kind of game he probably expected though as the Bucks were without superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard whose signature celebration he copied while celebrating one of his goals in La Liga in Spain.
Olmo got endeared to the fans of Bucks – as well as Portland Trailblazers’ – for bringing out the Dame Time celebration in August this year. He even got a shoutout from the Bucks X account for it.
Too bad for him, Dame was still sick during the time he finally got the chance to visit the NBA star. Bucks fans felt for him.
“Could’ve went to new york or LA or Miami but came to Milwaukee under the assumption of getting to watch dame and Giannis and ended up with Khris Middleton and friends😭,” said one user.
“Dani olmo in Milwaukee and doesn’t even get to see dame play😭,” said another.
Lillard and Antetokounmpo were not even at the venue.
The Bucks lost the game, 105-111.
Damian Lillard, Dani Olmo hooked up before the game
Fret not Olmo and Dame fans as the two athletes had their moment pre-game.
Bucks’ official X account released photos and videos of them together at their training facility exchanging gifts.

“I appreciate you showing love though, bro,” Lillard told the 26-year-old soccer star.
Olmo also confessed that he is fan.
“I’ve been following you for a really long time. Long time,” he said in the video.
“That’s love!” Lillard replied.
After that, they exchanged jerseys and Lillard gifted him with a customized Adidas shoes with Olmo’s face painted in it.
