Daniel Jacobsen, who is a four-star recruit in the class of 2025, is taking an official visit to the Wisconsin Badgers on October 13. He transferred to Brewster Academy for his junior year. This school is located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Jacobsen is a 7’2″ center who weighs 215 lbs.
According to 247sports, he is ranked 164th nationally, the 24th-best center, and the second-best recruit in the state of New Hampshire in the class of 2025. Daniel Jacobsen is originally from Greenville, South Carolina. This is a player to watch out for in the recruiting process for head coach Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program.
On August 2, 2023, Daniel Jacobsen was offered by Wisconsin, and it appears as if there are other BIG10 schools that are in the running for him as well. He has already taken official visits to the Purdue Boilermakers and also rivals Minnesota Golden Gophers. He visited Purdue on September 29, 2023, and he visited Minnesota on August 30, 2023.
One of the other schools in the BIG10 Conference that offered him, but he did not have an official visit to yet, is the Illinois Fighting Illini. That was offered on July 17, 2023.
Some of the other schools out of the BIG10 Conference that offered Daniel Jacobsen were the Clemson Tigers, the Creighton Blue Jays, the Xavier Musketeers, the New Mexico Lobos, and the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes.
The Wisconsin Badgers Landing Daniel Jacobsen for College Basketball in the Class of 2025 Would be a Huge Win for the Program
It would be nice for Wisconsin to land a tall prospect like Jacobsen. The Badgers would love it because they have to currently face a dominant, tall, big man in the BIG10 named Zach Edey out of Purdue. He was the BIG10 player of the year last season, and maybe Daniel Jacobsen could be that big dominant force as well.
Wisconsin has one commit for the class of 2025, and that is shooting guard Zach Kinziger, who is a shooting guard from De Pere, Wisconsin. He is a three-star recruit and committed to the program on August 4, 2023. Kinzinger is the third-best recruit in the state of Wisconsin for the class of 2025.
The Wisconsin Badgers were last in the Final Four in 2015. Wisconsin’s best player on that team was Frank Kaminsky. He is 7’0″ and weighs 240 lbs. Daniel Jacobsen can shoot it from the outside like he could, and maybe Jacobsen can be a great get for this college basketball program, and it would get them back in the right direction.
