The Chicago Bears recently hired former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as the next head coach of the franchise. A lot of Bears fans love the fact that they hired an offensive-minded head coach to work with quarterback Caleb Williams.
At the end of the 2024 season, Chicago finally ended an 11-game losing streak against the Green Bay Packers. It is going to be interesting to see how the Bears perform against the Packers next season.
Chicago Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson Takes Swipe At Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur In Opening Press Conference
The number one thing about being a member of the Chicago Bears is that there will always be hate for the Green Bay Packers. Ben Johnson was the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions for the last couple of seasons and had success against Green Bay.
During his introductory press conference on Wednesday, he said:
“To be quite frank with you, I kinda enjoyed beating Matt LaFleur twice a year.”
The Detroit Lions swept the Green Bay Packers this season. Green Bay went 1-5 in divisional play this past season. The Packers are going to have to be better in divisional play next season. The Chicago Bears fanbase would love it next year if they swept the Green Bay Packers in the regular season. It has felt like an eternity since Chicago swept Green Bay during the regular season.

It is going to be interesting to see how Ben Johnson does during his first season with the Chicago Bears. Chicago already gave Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers bulletin board material for the 2025 NFL season. The Packers and Bears rivalry just got even more spicy moving forward.
