The Milwaukee Bucks, one can say, is under achiever this season record-wise due to the fact that they have two elite scorers in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. They were even predicted as among the top 5 contenders at the start of the season.

Their season is gradually getting better now and their latest win against the Dallas Mavericks puts them nine games above .500, the first time it happened this year.
It might just be another win for some but for Lillard, it is something that gives them optimism due to the timing.
“It feels good because it’s happening at the right time,” Lillard said after the game.
“As the season goes on you know that you’re gonna have adversity. It’s gonna be ups and downs. I’m just proud of our team for never giving in to the moments we’ve had.”
Lillard is spot on about working as a team.
This is the second straight game they had where at least six players scored in double digits.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with his 29 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Lillard himself had 28-6-6.

Gary Trent Jr. was big from the bench with his 20 points. Brook Lopez had 13 while Kyle Kuzma contributed 10 points.
Even the bench contributed during big moments. Kevin Porter Jr. finished 11 points, AJ Green had six points while Jericho Sims had six points, too.
Damian Lillard is optimistic about Milwaukee Bucks season-ender
The Bucks have not been consistent this season. They started 2-8 and things got better by December. However, things got bad again.
It is all because of the injuries.

For Lillard, he knows the team can compete and he believes they will figure things out eventually.
He said their trust with each other never waiver.
“We’re trusting more than we have all year. I think our spirit is as good as it’s been all year, just throughout the team and it’s happening at the right time. We gotta hold on to that and continue to build on that.”
