Damian Lillard scored 23 points in Milwaukee Bucks’ win against the Atlanta Hawks to help the team bag a 127-121 victory.

Those may be his usual numbers but the work to get there was extra hard as the star point guard had to deal wit a swollen right eye during the first quarter.
The play was inadvertent and happened while he was contesting for a rebound.
“I went up to try to help rebound off the glass and I was behind the guy and his arm just came down and his elbow – the point of his elbow hit right on my eyeball. Once I hit, I knew it was either going to swell up or turn black. It was just a matter of time, but my vision – I’ve never had my vision get blurry like that,” he told reporters after the game.

“So, I opened my eye and then I saw how it was blurry and it was like (seeing) triple damn near, so I called for a sub. And I got to the bench and I don’t know what happened, but they made me go back in and that was it. But I was never about to come out of the game or nothing.”
Will Damian Lillard be available against the Mavs?
The eye injury seems to have not bothered as he still managed to finish the game.
He even made a difficult reverse lay-up with 26.6 left in the game to give his team a possession lead and shut off the Hawks for good.

Right now there are no words yet from the team regarding Lillard’s status for the second night of a back-to-back which will be rematch with injury-ladened Mavericks.
Fans can take comfort on Dame’s words that his eyesight got better within the game.
“I think it got better. It just was hard to keep my eye open. My right one, I could see clear, but this one was blurry. And from the impact, this side of my face was just a little irritated,” he said.
