Damian Lillard recently highlighted the significant factor that improved communication and chemistry have played in the Milwaukee Bucks’ turnaround this season. After a rocky start, the All-Star guard emphasized how their active group discussions are helping the team find its rhythm and achieve better results on the court, especially after they defeated the Charlotte Hornets.
Just recently, Milwaukee edged out the Hornets with a score of 125-119, marking their fourth consecutive victory. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard showcased their growing chemistry, combining for an impressive 63 points. The two-time MVP contributed 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Lillard added 31 points, highlighting their effectiveness as a duo this season.
The game featured a strong start by the Bucks, who opened the fourth quarter with a 14-5 run to establish a commanding lead. However, Charlotte fought back, narrowing the score to 121-119 after a clutch three-pointer from Brandon Miller. Nevertheless, Milwaukee maintained their composure in the closing moments, with Antetokounmpo sinking crucial free throws to secure the win.
LaMelo Ball had an outstanding night for the Hornets, scoring a career-high 50 points and dishing out 10 assists. Despite his efforts, which included a flurry of points in the second half, the Hornets couldn’t overcome Milwaukee’s strong performance. Ball’s explosive play kept Charlotte competitive, but Milwaukee’s offensive firepower ultimately prevailed.

Milwaukee is experiencing a significant turnaround, improving to an 8-9 record after a rough start. Lillard emphasized that enhanced communication and team chemistry have been key to their progress, with active group chats fostering encouragement among players.
He noted that both offense and defense are aligning with the coaches’ strategies, leading to better results. With the duo both scoring over 30 points in recent games, they are now beginning to thrive. If this momentum continues, the Bucks could re-establish themselves as serious contenders in the Eastern Conference.
