Milwaukee Brewers don’t like the Chicago Cubs but now, they have on in the squad that is a fan of the rivals growing up – Quinn Priester.

The 24-year-old was signed by the team three days ago as they deal with injuries to their pitchers. They currently have eight pitchers unable to throw at the moment.
Priester is excited about the opportunity but he feels different given his history with the Brewers.
“I grew up on the wrong side in the division,” Priester said about being a Cubs fan.
“But nonetheless, I loved going to the games, either at Wrigley or, at the time, Miller Park. It’s really exciting to be a part of this team.”

Priester last played for the Boston Red Sox although his split his time there with Worcester Red Sox.
He was acquired by Brewers by trading away their no. 7 prospect outfielder Yophery Rodriguez and a draft pick.
Pat Murphy has faith on Quinn Priester
There are chatters that the Brewers were fleeced in the trade as Rodriguez has high potential while Priester has been on the league since 2019.
GM Matt Arnold and Mmnager Pat Murphy feel different though. He even commended the front office for acting fast to address their injury woes.
“He’s a tremendous athlete,” Murphy said.

“He’s only 24 years old. Can already make the ball go down, sink[s] the ball, has already pitched at the Major League level. His velo is top end, top 15 or 20 in the league, and that’s a pretty good recipe.”
Priester did not play in the the dominant win against the Colorado Rockies but he is busy conditioning himself to become game ready.
“I’m really excited to continue to build myself up as a major leaguer and continue to get better and develop at this level and ultimately put together really good starts consistently,” he said.
“I know these guys are going to help me do that, and if Day One is any indication, I think we’re going to hit the ground running.”
