Khris M and Jrue

The Bucks are off to an awesome start at 10-1. But they still feel like a team that might even have more waiting in the wings. After an exciting double overtime win, when can the Bucks expect Khris Middleton back? The Herd Connection Yesterday the Wisconsin Herd lost to the Cleveland Charge in Oshkosh 112-103,  but Middleton did not play in that game. Middleton has been working to rehab his repaired wrist right up Hwy 41 in practice scenarios with the Herd. It is interesting to think that could even be an option for him.  However, don’t count on seeing…

The 9-1 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 4-6 Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night in downtown Oklahoma City. You may have noticed the Bucks seem to be playing the same teams: the Atlanta Hawks, OKC, the Philadelphia 76er’s. Don’t hold your breath just yet- The Bucks play the Hawks on Monday (Nov. 14th)  and Philadelphia Friday (Nov. 18th). There isn’t a ton of new information for me to share with you that wasn’t shared in a previous previews. But the Bucks will play to win, and we still have information to cover. Giannis will not play tonight. Neither will Jrue Holiday.…

Bucks Hawks

In a tough weekend for Packers fans, we, of course, now, get to turn our attention to the Milwaukee Bucks. To catch you up, the Bucks have been dominant so far this season as a team in rebounding, point differential, and started the year with an obnoxiously long six-game home stand. The 9-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 6-3 Atlanta Hawks Monday night in Atlanta. The NBA purposely did not schedule games on Tuesday, Nov. 8th to allow people time to vote. We don’t talk politics in this space except for now: please make sure you vote and that your…

The 8-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 4-4 Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night in downtown Milwaukee. The Bucks are on a back-to-back having won last night in Minnesota. The Thunder last played Thursday at home, losing to the Denver Nuggets. The Thunder only managed 15 points in the 4th quarter. There is a chance Giannis might not play tonight. Even still, Vegas has the Bucks at a 75% chance to win the game and 7.5 point favorites. Game time is 7pm. Bucks Keys Keep that home court advantage rolling: The Fiserv has been very kind to the Bucks so far.…

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to cruise. It seems like this is a team, and seemingly franchise, that has proven to be quite stable of late. There has been little roster turnover; the “deer district” is growing. This stability gives the Bucks a big advantage right now because of a few key events that have taken place.  These two key events have varying levels of difficulty to explain. So, let’s start with the easy one.  James Harden hurt his foot and is out for a month. Joel Embiid has also been struggling with injuries. The 76ers seem really down.  Now onto…

The 7-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 4-4 Minnesota Timberwolves Friday night at the Target center. The Bucks are the last undefeated team in the NBA. The last time they started off a season this hot, Giannis won the MVP award and they cruised to 60 wins.  The Timberwolves should provide the Bucks with a challenger worthy of the Nationally televised broadcast we’ll see Friday night. The game has a later start time because of this: tip off is 9pm. Bucks keys Keep winning the rebounding battle: This will be the toughest challenge the Bucks have faced so far this…

Bucks vs Pistons

Bucks authorial Note: This “preview” covers both home in-home games this week with rival The Detroit Pistons. The 5-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 2-5 Detroit Pistons twice this week with both games at home. These are games 5 and 6 of the unusual 6 game home stand to start the year. When asked recently about this quirky series of games, George Hill commented, “Yeah, now we can hopefully play some games in warmer weather during the cold winter months.” The Pistons are coming off an electric win Sunday against the Golden State Warriors. Because of that, for Monday’s game…

In an awesome weekend for sports (World Series, Packers Sunday night game, amazing college football) hopefully the Milwaukee Bucks won’t get lost in the mix.  The 4-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 4-1 Atlanta Hawks Saturday night in downtown Milwaukee. This is game 4 of 6 of the unusual home stand to start the year we discuss quite a bit in this space. At home, right now the Bucks lead the league in rebounding and blocks and are in the top ten in a whole host of other important categories. Is being at home helping give this team an advantage?…

The 3-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 3-1 New York Knicks Friday night in downtown Milwaukee. This is game 3 of 6 of the unusually long home stand to start the year. It is strange because the Bucks have such a long stretch at home; stranger because the Bucks don’t seem to be playing with as much frequency as other NBA teams (only game 4 on the season?) And I know in this space we harp a lot on this long homestand, but the Bucks have another right sized 4 game homestand over the Thanksgiving week. The schedule-makers have been…

The 2-0 Milwaukee Bucks take on the 1-2 Brooklyn (New Jersey/ Jay-Z) Nets Wednesday night in downtown Milwaukee at the Fiserv forum. This is the Bucks second game of an unusual six game homestand to start the season. A six game homestand is strange in the NBA- a six game home stand this early is downright Halloween eerie.  The probable starting lineup for the Bucks is Jrue Holiday at the point guard position, Grayson Allen at shooting guard, Giannis at small forward, Bobby Portis at power forward and Brook Lopez at center. We all still await the return of Khris…
