Aaron Rodgers’ political plans may have been aborted prematurely but he is still here supporting Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. who reportedly asked him to the be the vice president to his presidential campaign.
However, he had to reject the offer as he decided to go back to playing football.
Rodgers’ 2024-25 season ended without a playoff appearance for the New York Jets after his team finished third in the AFC East with a 5-12 record.
He’s got more time now to appear in podcasts and other shows and he is making sure that he is getting heard.
Appearing at the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers reiterated his support for RFJ Jr. who has been nominated by president-elect Donald Trump as the next secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Rodgers warned the senators who will screen Robert’s nomination not to mess up.
“I want to watch his confirmation hearing and just see who tries to fuck with him,” Rodgers said.
“Like please, somebody try to get after him and just watch him absolutely mop the floor with any of these senators.”
Aaron Rodgers says ‘Make America Healthy Again’
Rodgers expressed confidence in RFK Jr.’s ability to lead and insisted that he has good intentions as the next secretary of the health department.
Referencing the famous slogan during Trump’s 2016 campaign, the four-time NFL MVP believes he can revive the citizens’ health status to a great one.
“He just wants to make sure that everything that’s being given to our kids is safe, everything that we’re ingesting on a day-to-day basis is safe. And he’s going to ‘Make America Healthy Again’ or is going to freaking die trying. Wouldn’t you want that?”
Many find Rodgers’ statement regarding RFK Jr. controversial as Kennedy Jr. is infamous for his health conspiracies and anti-Covid 19 stance.
Rodgers aligning himself with him should not be surprising though as the Green Bay Packers legend himself is also an anti-vaccine.
