Aaron Rodgers added to his legendary resume on Sunday when he led the New York Jets to a 32-20 win at home over the visiting Miami Dolphins in the final week of the 2024 NFL regular season. Rodgers walked into that contest needing just a touchdown pass to join the 500-passing TD club, and he did it with a five-yard strike to tight end Tyler Conklin in the second quarter.
But things did not start right for Rodgers against the Dolphins. In fact, his first pass in the Miami game was intercepted by Dolphins linebacker Tyrel Dodson. According to FOX Sports, it was just the first time in the legendary NFL career of Rodgers that his first pass in a game was picked off (h/t Rich Cimini of ESPN).

Nevertheless, Rodgers had an overall fantastic performance against the Dolphins. He more than made up for that early blunder, as he tossed three more touchdowns after connecting with Conklin. Rodgers finished the contest with 274 passing yards and four touchdowns on 23-of-36 pass completions while taking a sack three times for a loss of 17 yards.
Aaron Rodgers joins exclusive NFL club with 500th TD
The 41-year-old Rodgers is one of only five players in NFL history to pass for at least 500 touchdowns, joining the group of former New England Patriots star Tom Brady (649), ex-New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (571), Indianapolis Colts great Peyton Manning (539) and former Green Bay Packers gunslinger Brett Favre (508).
In what could be his final season in the NFL, Rodgers had 3,897 passing yards and 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions.
